DIY express: bamboo display stand

Todos somos creativos, pero a veces se nos olvida.
Basta con aplicar un poco de pensamiento divergente, mirar las cosas desde otra perspectiva, explorar alternativas distintas de las habituales y encontrar utilidades diferentes.
Los resultados son siempre geniales y los objetos resultantes, únicos.

DIY express: expositor de bambú
Desde que me emancipé siempre he tenido árboles de navidad diferentes, hechos con perchas, tubos de papel de plóter y cosas así.
Estas navidades decidí hacerme otro árbol pero que me sirviese el resto del año como expositor de fotos, retales y notas en mi despacho-taller.
Se me ocurrió lo siguiente:

Materiales: un tutor de bambú para tomateras y un florero Ovanlig, ambos de Ikea; unas chinchetas y un poco de mortero gris.
Elaboré la cantidad necesaria de mortero gris (siguiendo las instrucciones del fabricante) para rellenar el hueco del florero Ovanlig, inserté el elemento vertical del tutor y lo dejé fraguar; mientras, cada 10 cm coloqué chinchetas a modo de colgadores a lo largo del elemento espiral de bambú. Y voilá!!! … mi nuevo expositor de bambú.

We are all creative, but sometimes we forget.
Just apply a little divergent thinking, looking at things from another perspective, explore alternatives different from the usual ones and find different utilities.
The results are always brilliant, and the resultant objects are unique.

DIY express: bamboo display stand
Since I've become independient, I´ve always had different Christmas trees, made with hangers, plotter paper tubes and stuff.
This Christmas, I decided to make another tree that would serve me to hang pictures, clippings and notes in my office-workshop as well.
I thought about this solution.

Materials: Bamboo tutor for tomato and a vase Ovanlig, both from Ikea; some pins and a little grey mortar.
I prepared the necessary amount of gray mortar (following the manufacturer's instructions) to fill the gap of the Ovanlig vase, I inserted the vertical element of the tutor and let it set; meanwhile, I placed the pins along the spiral element bamboo as hangers. And voila!! ... my new bamboo display stand.
